Combined system for press /star coolerThrough the combinedinstallation of thickness gaugesafter the press, and thefollowing star cooler, thethickness values of individualpanels are recorded in differentpositions of the productionprocess and can be compared.Thus, exact information aboutthe distention behaviour ofpanels can be obtained.3. Sanding lineA combination of up to threethickness gauges is used forfinal quality control in thesanding line.For example: a 1-trackthickness gauge is installedbefore the sizing sander, a 2-track system after the sizingsander and a 3-, 5- or 7-tracksystem after the finish sander.Besides quality control, themeasured data can be used toadjust the sanders to thecurrent thickness values.
