2. Campuses<br />
2.1 Clayton<br />
<strong>Monash</strong> <strong>University</strong> Clayton campus<br />
is the largest <strong>of</strong> the university’s eight<br />
campuses. The diversity <strong>of</strong> programs<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered is reflected in the fact that eight<br />
out <strong>of</strong> the university’s ten faculties are<br />
represented on campus – Arts, Business<br />
and Economics, Education, Engineering,<br />
Information Technology, <strong>Law</strong>, Medicine,<br />
Nursing and Health Sciences and<br />
Science. The campus <strong>of</strong>fers a rich array <strong>of</strong><br />
sporting, cultural and educational events<br />
and facilities, and has a proud record <strong>of</strong><br />
achievement in fostering collaborative<br />
research projects.<br />
The <strong>Law</strong> School is located on the Clayton<br />
campus and houses the university’s <strong>Law</strong><br />
Library, three computer laboratories and<br />
five lecture theatres. The majority <strong>of</strong> our<br />
undergraduate teaching occurs at this<br />
location.<br />
The <strong>Law</strong> School’s clinical training program<br />
operates from the <strong>Monash</strong>-Oakleigh Legal<br />
Service and the Springvale <strong>Monash</strong> Legal<br />
Service.<br />
2.2 <strong>Monash</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
<strong>Law</strong> Chambers<br />
Behind the period façade <strong>of</strong> the Equity<br />

<strong>Monash</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>Law</strong> Chambers <strong>of</strong>fers<br />
postgraduate law students a central<br />
teaching and learning facility in the heart<br />
<strong>of</strong> Melbourne’s legal precinct.<br />
This state-<strong>of</strong>-the art building provides<br />
our postgraduate students with an<br />
accessible, comprehensive education<br />
facility that also promotes interaction with<br />
members <strong>of</strong> the pr<strong>of</strong>ession.<br />
The majority <strong>of</strong> the faculty’s postgraduate<br />
programs are taught at the city-based<br />
<strong>Monash</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>Law</strong> Chambers,<br />
attracting law graduates from a variety<br />
<strong>of</strong> backgrounds and pr<strong>of</strong>essional areas<br />
including legal practice, government,<br />
business and academia. This cultural<br />
diversity, together with our flexible,<br />
responsive programs creates a dynamic<br />
environment for the exchange <strong>of</strong><br />
knowledge and ideas.<br />
2.3 <strong>Monash</strong> Education<br />
Centre, Prato, Italy<br />
In keeping with <strong>Monash</strong> <strong>Law</strong>’s aim to be<br />
a truly international law school, the <strong>Law</strong><br />
School encourages students to undertake<br />
one semester <strong>of</strong> their law degree at the<br />
<strong>Monash</strong> Education Centre in Prato, Italy.<br />
Students can undertake up to four law<br />
units through the Prato Study Program,<br />
taught by academics from <strong>Monash</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong>, judges and practitioners as well<br />
as academics from partner institutions in<br />
Canada, Israel and Italy. Units are taught<br />
in semi-intensive mode over 3-4 weeks.<br />
The program runs in the European Spring<br />
each year. Classes are taken in the<br />
elegant 18th Century palace, Palazzo Vaj<br />
in the medieval historic centre <strong>of</strong> Prato,<br />
Italy. There are 3 computer laboratories at<br />
the <strong>Monash</strong> <strong>University</strong> Prato Centre and<br />
the building also has a wireless internet<br />
