overheating and short circuits. Another Agora L, 1788, was damaged when 1801 caught fire, as it was in a line of
buses at Saint-Maur-Créteil RER station and could not be backed out in time.
The LPG-powered GX317, 8001-57 dating from 1999, are due for early withdrawal, as their DAF engines are no
longer manufactured and spare parts are becoming difficult to obtain. Whether any enterprising operator will
convert them to conventional diesel buses remains to be seen.
In a throwback to the early days of the SC10, RATP has decided to buy new buses that will be dedicated to
training duties, instead of using vehicles that have been pensioned off from the main fleet. Accordingly, ten dualcontrol
Citelis Line have been ordered and will be numbered 081-90. They will be painted all-over white.

According to Culture Bus (a now-defunct French enthusiast magazine, produced only in 1998 and 1999 by a
former editor of Réseaux Urbains), PR100.2 4479 MH 76 and ex-RATP PR180 8995 QT 76 were also out of
service by 6/98, but a subsequent report stated that they was still present 1/99. Both have probably since gone
(yes, your sub-editor has some catching-up to do!).
