Grass cuttingCut the grass like if you were in corridor of 1,5meters wide, move step by step balancing themachine right and left, and vice-versa. Makesure at each step that you are still wellbalanced on your feet. If you are using thetriangle blade for the grass, always cut fromright to left and leave a pile of cut grass on theleft for later gathering. If possible, avoid stones, even small ones, piles of earth, small pieces of wood or anythingthat could be hidden or poorly visible in thegrass. If you hit a large object by accident, or ifyou block the cutting tool due overloading oroverload of grass or stringy vegetal materialwrapped in the cutting tool, you must reducethe speed to the idle speed and disengage theclutch. Make sure that the cutting tool isstopped by pushing the stop button.Check that the cutting tool has not beendamaged such as breakage of teeth for theblade or cracking. If necessary, change thecutting tool. If the tool is only wrapped byvegetal material, with your pair of glovesremove the vegetal materials and clean thecutting tool.Always wear security gloves for this operationand push the security button to the STOPposition. When the 2 nylon wires are too short, accelerate the engine and press the nylonhead on the ground, automatically the 2 nylonwires will automatically get out and be cut atthe correct length. Repeat the operation ifnecessary.CORRECT USE OF THE TRIANGLE BLADEAll the protection systems of themachine and the security parts must be inorder during the use of the brush cutter. The use of the triangle blade can dodangerous kick-backs, if you don’t respectthose obligatory security standards.Pay attention to the drawing below. When you cut a small tree always use thetriangle blade in the “A” circular position. The “B” circular position is acceptableonly if you hold strongly the machine. It is notrecommended. The “NO” circular position is forbiddenas it can produce dangerous incidents withdanger for people, animals and things. Neveruse this position. All protective devices the machine aswell as protection equipments must bemaintained in good operation condition duringthe use.The engine of the machine must be atcomplete stop during assembling, repair andcleaning operations.Put the security button on the “STOP” position.Brush cutter transmits vibrations to the userduring the use. These vibrations can generatean increased tiredness. For this reason, werecommend taking regular pauses during work. The machine is equipped with an anti-vibratingdevice.We recommend as well that after a few hoursof work, to take a pause (a few minutes) andleave the engine at idle rpm in order to let theengine cool down by the air current created bythe flywheel.MAINTENANCECarburetor adjustmentDuring a normal use, the carburettor may havesome changes, especially, when there aresome changes of working conditions and aftermany hours of work or because of variation oftemperatures or pressures in the surrounding.Carburetor adjustment at high speedIf the carburettor needs adjustment proceed asfollows:- Screw clockwise the yellow screw of thecarburettor until it comes to the base, never force on it.- From this position unscrew it by one and ahalf turn.- Start the engine and accelerate at themaximum rpm.- Find the point where the engine is at themaximum rpm by screwing or unscrewingat around 1/8 of turn at each time.- When you have found the maximum rpm, unscrew of one ¼ of turn the screw, inorder to increase the mixture gasoline.23
Idle speed adjustment- Screw or unscrew the butterfly screw untilthe engine is at around 2500 rpm.- Those adjustments require a special toolcontrol. If you don’t have it, contact anapproved after sale service. For a correct adjustment, this operation mustbe done while the engine is hot.GEARBOXEvery 25 hours, grease the gear box. Unscrewthe lateral tap of the gear box and put greaseinside using an opposite tool. Use a specialgear box grease that resist to high temperature.Screw the tap tightly.Be sure that the cutting tool is atcomplete stop while the engine is running atminimum.AFTER USEWhen you finish working, clean completely thebrush cutter from any grass or dirt, make surethere is no grass material wrapped in thecutting tools and put the machine back in itspacking, in order to avoid to injury yourself orother people during the transport.Be aware not to hit or cut the fueltank while you put it to the ground. Do not letthe brush cutter fall down to the floor, it maydamage the machine.Whenever the machine is not used for over 1month, proceed as follows:- Empty completely the fuel tank from themixture.- Protect all engine metals parts fromcorrosion by provided those with a thincoat of oil.- Remove the spark-plug, put some drops ofoil in the cylinder then pull the recoil starter2 to 3 times in order to distribute evenlythe oil, put back the spark-plug.- We recommend you to start the engineduring a few minutes every 60 days ofinactivity.Shake accurately the mixture in the fueltank before any use, in order to re-mix theoil with the gasoline.PROBLEMSPower loss or sudden stopping of the engine.- Check that tank is not empty. The mixture does not reach to the carburettor.- Clean or change the fuel filter in the fuel tank. There is water in the mixture.- Clean all the alimentation system. The air filter is dirty.- Clean the air filter. Wash the foam with waterand soap. Dry the foam, oil it and replace it inthe filter.Wrapped vegetal material on the cylinderexhaust pipe or the muffler.- Clean or change the muffler.Bad quality cut- Overloaded cutting due to too high grassor too thick for engine power. There are carbon deposits in the cutting tool.- If blade is used: blade worm out or not sharpenough. Change the blade.WARNING!Using the engine with a gasoline/oilmixture, that is not conform with therequirements of the manufacturer willcancel the warranty._____________24
