Student Lounges and Programming Space
(Public Areas)
All requests for use of the facilities MUST be reserved
through the residential life office. The facilities include: SAC
Equality Room, SAC kitchen, amphitheater, volleyball courts,
Warren lawn, and barbeque. All student organizations,
including recognized college organizations, must obtain
approval from the Warren residential life office regardless of
prior registration with CSI. The order of reservation priority
is as follows: Warren residential life staff, Warren residential
life organizations, Warren College organizations, and other
UC San Diego CSI registered student organizations. Alcohol
may not, under any circumstances, be served or consumed
in any public space. Groups reserving a particular space
assume full responsibility for keeping the space clean and
in good condition. Non-residential organizations will be
assessed a usage fee and must leave a cleaning deposit to
reserve any facility in the Warren Residential Complex.
Residential Life Facilities
Warren residential facilities consist of: Warren residential
life, Canyon Vista restaurant, Earl’s Place, the Courtroom,
and the Student Activity Center (SAC). The Warren
residential halls consist of four apartment buildings (Black,
Brennan, Douglas, and Goldberg), three residential halls
(Frankfurter, Harlan, and Stewart), and two single graduate
student apartment buildings (Bates and Brown Hall).
Residential buildings in the College are named after Supreme
Court justices who served on the United States Supreme
Court alongside Earl Warren.
Recreation Areas
The Warren residential complex is located next to the
Canyon View Aquatic Center that has two outdoor pools,
a weight room, and a climbing center. Volleyball and
basketball courts are located near the Warren residential
halls. Warren College and Sixth College share two basketball
courts and tennis courts located next to the multipurpose
fields between Warren College and Sixth College.
Student Activity Center (SAC)
The Student Activity Center features a large room available
for programming, meetings, speakers, educational and
cultural programs, and other activities, as well as a small
kitchen area in which to prepare light refreshments. A rental
fee may be applicable for reservation of the rental space.
Groups using this programming space are responsible for
the setup and cleanup. Refer to the website, http://warren.

Community Rooms
The Warren apartments, Black Hall and Goldberg Hall, each
have community rooms on the first floor. The Canyon Vista
administration building houses JK Wood Lounge which is a
study lounge. JK Wood Lounge is open weekdays, 8:00am-
1:00am; weekends, 11:00am-1:00am; and open 24 hours
during finals.

Laundry Facilities
Each of the four main apartment buildings has its own laundry
room on the first floor. Residential halls have laundry rooms
located on the second, third, and fourth floors. The laundry
rooms feature coin-operated and Triton Cash-compatible
automatic washers and dryers. Malfunctions of the laundry
machines should be reported to custodial/maintenance
services, (858) 534-2600. Tampering with laundry machines
may result in disciplinary or legal action. The facilities are for
use by residents only.
Mailboxes
Mailboxes for Warren residents are located at the Student
Activity Center (SAC) and next to the residential life office
located in the Canyon Vista administration building. Mailboxes
are accessible twenty-four hours a day. All mail, including
packages, should be addressed in the following manner:

Mail is delivered Monday through Saturday in accordance
with the undergraduate housing contract, section 6KJ. It is
prohibited for students to use their personal campus mailbox
for business purposes. Business mail addressed to personal
mailboxes will be returned to the sender. Problems with
mail service or mailboxes should be reported directly to the
residential life Office. Packages too large for the mailboxes,
as well as registered, insured, and postage-due mail, will be
held at campus mail services (located near the intersection of
Gilman Drive and Voigt Drive). Packages sent by UPS or other
private delivery services will be held at the designated box
delivery area (SAC or residential life). The residential life office
will send an email to the student’s UCSD email when a package
arrives. The mailboxes are also used for the delivery of intercampus
mail. Only authorized University personnel may have
access to the mailrooms. Questions/concerns about intercampus
mail delivery should be directed to the residential life
office or student mail services.
The Dining Plan
UC San Diego residential housing includes housing space and
a dining plan consisting of Dining Dollars that may be spent in
any amount at any Dining Services location.
Two Dining Services facilities are located in the heart of Warren
College. With four specialty stations, Canyon Vista boasts a
wide variety of international cuisine and the most expansive
salad bar on campus. Earl’s Place is located above Canyon Vista
and offers an incredible selection of gourmet espresso drinks,
grab-and-go foods, and grocery and gift items.
