For many years, riders withcarbureted engines have had the luxury of easy fine-tuning. Bychanging carburetor jets they could "dial in" their engines to achievemaximum performance and to compensate for engine modifications.Fuel injection however, has presented a tuning obstacle for riders whowished to make performance modifications to their engines.With thestock fuel injection module,even a minor change like a different exhaustsystem can cause an engine to run erratically and could potentiallycause engine damage. The S&S Variable Fuel Injection (VFI) moduleprovides the ability to tune the fuel injection and ignition systems tomaximize the performance of any fuel injected engine.While the S&SVFI system will give excellent results on stock engines, its tuningflexibility is essential when engine modifications have been made.Changes to the engine such as cams, exhaust pipes, headwork,increased displacement, or all of the above, necessitate changes in thefuel injection maps.The S&S VFI fuel injection module allows the tunerto realize the full benefits of engine modifications through correcttuning.
