The University <strong>of</strong> KwaZulu-Na<strong>tal</strong> (<strong>UKZN</strong>) has identified a number <strong>of</strong> <strong>research</strong> focusareas where expertise has been built up during sustained <strong>research</strong> involving multidiscipli<strong>na</strong>ryand inter<strong>na</strong>tio<strong>na</strong>l collaborations and where <strong>UKZN</strong> <strong>research</strong>ers havealready made an impact on global <strong>research</strong> trends.
