Ten years in the planning,the new library will house a growing collection of printand electronic materials in the humanities, socialsciences, the arts and special collections. A state of theart technological infrastructure will give students andfaculty access to electronic resources and services thatmeet the needs of research in the 21 st century.UCSC’s University Library collection is divided into two parts.Resources in the humanities, arts, and social sciences arelocated in McHenry Library, and the science collection ishoused in the Science & Engineering Library building on“science hill.”
