All tenders should be sealed, and should beaddressed to the President of the Tender Board,Office of the Treasurer, Nicosia.S. Tenders should either be deposited in the TenderBox outside the Office of the Treasurer or be sentthrough the post. Postage on any tender sent throughthe post must be prepaid ; otherwise, delivery of thesame will not be accepted.4. Tenders should be marked " Tender foi conveyanceof Goods to and from the Railway " in the left hand topcorner of the envelope, and should reach the Officeof the Treasurer not later than 11 a.m. on the 20thof February, <strong>1923.</strong>5. AU tenders must be accompanied by a deposit ofa cheque or money order value £5 payable to theGovemment of Cyprus as a guarantee that the successfultenderer wUl sign the conditions of contract andfurnish the necessary security. The £5 deposited wUlbe forfeited on his failing to carry out these conditions. <strong>19th</strong> January, 1123.Deposits will be returned in full to the unsuccessfultenderers and to the successful tenderer after completionof agreement.6. No tender wiU be considered unless in respect ofit all the conditions above laid down have been strictlyfulfilled. This tender becomes binding and must becarried into effect upon being accepted by the GeneralManager, Railway.7. Conditions under which tenders are invited maybe obtained on application to the General Manager,Famagusta.8. Before the acceptance of any tender the tendererwiU be required to furnish such security as the Govemmentdeem fit for the faithful performance of hiscontract and the care and safety of goods in his charge.9. The Govemment does not bind itself to acceptthe lowest or any tender.G.
