procedure: all teeth missingSite Preparation of First ImplantThe procedure and illustrations below relate to <strong>Nobel</strong>Replace Straight Groovy RP 4 × 13 mm implants and medium bone.See Appendix II for other platforms and drill sequence table.2. 3.1.4.The area shaded in red represents the drill guide.ALLTo obtain further stability, the Surgical Template is attached to twoimplants.• Choose a template sleeve strategically placed in the middle of eachhalf of the arch to obtain proper distribution of the additionalanchoring points for the first implant.• Use (1) Guided Start Drill/Counterbore <strong>Nobel</strong>Replace RPdirectly in the template sleeve and drill to the stop.26
Site Preparation of First Implant (cont.)• Place the (2) Guided Drill Guide RP to ∅ 2mmin thesame template sleeve.• Mount a Drill Stop ∅ 2 on the drill for a safe and accuratedrilling procedure.Thereafter, use the (2) Guided Twist Drill 2 × (10+) 7–18mm and drill to the desired depth under profuse irrigation.Use the drill guide for guidance.The depth markings on the drills correspond to 7, 10, 13,15 and 18 mm implants and should be measured level withthe drill guide.Note! (10+) indicates that the drills extend an additional10 mm.• Shift to (3) Guided Drill Guide RP to ∅ 3.2 mm and drillto the stop with the (3) Guided Twist Drill 3.2 × (10+)7–18 mm.• Mount a Drill Stop ∅ 3.2 on the drill for a safe and accuratedrilling procedure.Optional: A (4) Guided Screw Tap RP ∅ 4 7–13 mm may beused in situations where the jaw bone is judged dense orlocally dense bone. Tap to the desired depth.ALL• Switch handpiece to reverse mode and back screw tap out.27
