She isthe first in her family to attend medicalschool, <strong>and</strong> is <strong>CSUSB</strong>’s first PAES graduate,finishing her bachelor’s degree inthree short years. ●Keeping it localWith a long history of working withnonprofit organizations, Bonnie O’Connoris the new director of development in theCollege of Business <strong>and</strong> Public Administrationat Cal State San Bernardino, whileRichard Jarvis has taken over the sameduties for the university’s College of Arts<strong>and</strong> Letters, <strong>and</strong> Stephanie White as thechief fundraiser for corporate <strong>and</strong> foundationrelations.O’Connor, who was born in Riverside<strong>and</strong> raised in Fontana, has served in thenonprofit sector for the past 16 years.Most recently, she was a consultant fornonprofit organizations under her ownO’Connor Consulting Services.Named the 2003 Executive of the Year bythe Community Foundation of Riverside<strong>and</strong> San Bernardino counties, O’Connoralso was the 1999 outst<strong>and</strong>ing graduatestudent for <strong>CSUSB</strong>’s College of Business<strong>and</strong> Public Administration. She receivedher master’s in public administration from<strong>CSUSB</strong>, her bachelor’s degree in business<strong>and</strong> management from the University ofBonnie O’ConnorRichard JarvisRedl<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> a certificate in non-profitmanagement from the University of California,Riverside.Richard Jarvis earned his B.A. in educationadministration from Vanguard University.His work before arriving at <strong>CSUSB</strong>was as executive director for the First 5 ofChildren <strong>and</strong> Families Commission in SanBernardino. He’s also worked as developmentdirector for the biomedical sciencesdivision at UCR <strong>and</strong> for the AmericanHeart Association. He also served as assistantprincipal <strong>and</strong> a teacher at CalvaryChapel Christian School in Redl<strong>and</strong>sStephanie White has moved from herpost as development officer for <strong>CSUSB</strong>’sCollege of Social <strong>and</strong> Behavioral Sciences.Now, instead of focusing on <strong>one</strong> collegeor division, she concentrates on constituencygroups – corporations <strong>and</strong> privatefoundations.
