confidential – <strong>for</strong> guild <strong>members</strong> onlyClause Change CommentSchedule C17.1 (j) Inserted Processes: <strong>Pharmacy</strong> Methadone<strong>Services</strong> <strong>for</strong> Opioid Dependence clause.Previously, methadone services had a separate servicespecification as part of the base contract. This allowed apharmacy to service up to two “regular” clients and anynumber of “intermittent” clients. Pharmacies wishing toservice more clients did so by means of a variation.Now, rather than having its own service specification, theclauses detailing the basic (two client) level of methadoneservice appear as part of the Base <strong>Pharmacy</strong> <strong>Services</strong>specification in this part of the <strong>Agreement</strong>.The previous variation now <strong>for</strong>ms the basis <strong>for</strong> the new<strong>Pharmacy</strong> Methadone <strong>Services</strong> <strong>for</strong> Opioid Dependence(Class B Controlled Drug <strong>Services</strong>) specification that willappear in the <strong>Agreement</strong>s of those pharmacies thatpreviously had the variation to allow more than tworegular clients. See below <strong>for</strong> more details of this service.A substantive change to this basic (two client) level ofmethadone service is contained in subclause 7.1 (j) (iii).You are now limited to a maximum of two Service Usersper claim period unless authorised in writing.7.2 (a) Amended Waiting times clause. Amended “Prescription Form” to “Prescription Form, order,or NRT Exchange Card”.7.2 (b) Amended Waiting times clause. Added “and your failure to do so [maintain adequate stocklevels] will not be considered to be an UncontrollableEvent.”8 Amended Service linkages clause. Subclause (l) added. Authorised NRT Agents in your areahas been added to the list of services with which you haveeffective links to.9 Updated Exclusions clause.
