confidential – <strong>for</strong> – <strong>for</strong> guild guild <strong>members</strong> only onlyClause Change CommentG7.4 Amended ConscientiousObjection clause.Part H H1.2 Amended Payment <strong>for</strong>Pharmaceuticals clause.Replaced “grounds of conscience that you candemonstrate to our satisfaction are based on a recognisedreligious or cultural belief” with “grounds of conscience thatare reasonably based on a recognised religious or culturalbelief”.This amendment was previously effected by the December2007 variation.Subclauses (b) through (g) added. These clauses utilisethe Date of Dispensing definition and allow uncollectedmedicines to be claimed. The effects of the clauses are:1. No claim may be made prior to the medicine beingcollected/delivered, unless it is an UncollectedPrescription Item.2. You must take and document reasonable steps toensure collection/delivery be<strong>for</strong>e an item can beconsidered uncollected.3. In the case of a repeat, the work must have beencarried out after a specific and express request <strong>for</strong>the repeat.4. You may not claim <strong>for</strong> an uncollected item ifthat service user has already failed to collect anidentical item.More detail on the exact processes to follow are to befound in the Procedures Manual, which is still beingworked on and has not been released at the time ofwriting. The agreed intention of this clause is to allow youto claim:1. a dispensing fee plus the cost of the medicine <strong>for</strong>work that you would reasonably expect to be collected,but wasn’t and cannot be returned tostock, or2. a dispensing fee only, where the uncollected workcan be returned to stock.H1.4 Insertion of a Claim Certification clause. You must date and personally sign each claim yousubmit, or approve and have the claim signed on yourbehalf. Use of an electronic signature and key assignedto a pharmacist is acceptable.H3.1 Amended Claim Period clause. This clause has been amended to allow <strong>for</strong> four-times-amonthclaiming. Note that four-times-a-month claiming isonly possible if you are certified as being capable of onlineclaiming, otherwise the existing twice-monthly claimperiods remain.H4.4 (c) Amended Co-Payments clause. Consistent with multiple flavours of oral supplements/complete diet special foods, only one co-payment iscollectable <strong>for</strong> multiple flavours of gluten free foods.H4.4 Deleted subclause (e). This clause setting NRT co-payments at $5.00 has beendeleted. NRT co-payments now follow the standard rules.PAGE 7
