Ian snapsat theCreekIAN MacNicol (pictured right)was wandering around AlbionPark for a while recently keepinga closer than usual watch onproceedings.Ian is the reigning Scottishsports photographer of the year.(One of his Albion Park pics isprinted below.)He and wife Diana and babyson Benjamin were back inBrisbane on a five week holiday.Diana, a dancer with theScottish Ballet, is a Brisbane girland she brought her family homefor Christmas.They are based in Glasgow.While Ian’s bread and butterphotography is anything thatmoves in sport worldwide, he hasa passion for the action ofgreyhound racing.And that’s why he was atAlbion Park … looking for thatspecial picture.“I go to our local track atShawfield in Glasgow a couple oftimes a week,” said Ian. “It’s anindulgence of mine. I’m lookingfor the ultimate dog racing pic.”Ian says the fact it is daylightduring the Scottish summer until11pm helps with those greataction photos of greyhoundracing.He positioned himself aroundthe Albion Park track for a fewdays after Christmas and reeledof plenty of actions pictures.
