Give a notice to the Resident Project Representative in advance of pipe layingoperation.B. Pipe shall be lowered into trench using handling equipment designed for thispurpose. C. Lay pipe proceeding upgrade with the bell or groove pointing upstream.D. Lay each section of pipe to form a close concentric joint with the adjoiningsection and to avoid offset in the flow line. Excavate recesses in bedding materialto accommodate joints, fittings and appurtenances.E. Ensure tight, flexible joints that allow movements caused by expansion,contraction and ground movements. Inspect each section of pipe and fittingbefore joining. Assemble joints in accordance with the pipe manufacturer'sinstructions.F. Examine each pipe installed to ensure that they are laid to the proper alignmentand grade and free from foreign material. Fix deviation from line and gradeinstantly. Variation from the designed grade or deflection of pipe joints won't beaccepted.G. Furnish compacted backfill to hold each section of pipe firmly in place as the pipeis laid.3:03 Protection of utilities, property and structures, pipes and underground conduits exposedas a result of contractor's operations shall be adequately supported along their entirelength.3:04 BACKFILLING TRENCHES- A. Before backfilling trenches, pipeline shall be inspected by the Resident ProjectRepresentative.B. Backfill and compact trenches accordingly to Section 02225,END OF <strong>SECTION</strong><strong>02720</strong>-3<strong>STORM</strong> <strong>DRAIN</strong> <strong>PIPE</strong>
