Thecharacteristic of Ballet will show on the movement to avoid of the gravity by, point of foots andthe power of legs as like as high jumping, turn of the body by stronger of foots. Ballet wasoriginated in The Court of Italy, in 1300-1600 B.C. and development by an artists inRenassance’s age in France. Through popular and propagated around Europe, Eastern, and Asiaconcluded Thailand too.Mahasarakham University was established in 1968, Western Dance’s curriculum wasstarted in Bachelor Degree in Ballet Program by Division of Performing Arts Faculty of Fine andApplied Arts in 1997. Ballet students have to study at least 141 credits which they’re have tolearn following as the University regulations. Practice in Ballet class and also studies following inDance’s curriculum as for example, Thai dance, Folk dance, Oriental dance, Computer for dance,Dance research, Dance Forum, Seminar in dance, Dance analysisi, Stage craft, Stage PrincipleDesign, Costume and Make Up Design. Exactly, they have to participate in all dance’s activitiesaround University and Thailand in the meantime. Since 1997-2000, all alumni was graduated as 5generations which including 12 persons. All alumni are renown in Dance’s social in Thailand thatthey’re still working in a science in performing arts like as a creative director, choreographer,stage manager and designer, dancer, an actor. Especially, as well as Ballet teacher in Thailand.Nowadays, Ballet’s students at Division of Performing Arts of MSU have more 40 person and 2instructors that is Mr. Sirimongkol Nattayakul who was graduated in Ballet Program and M.A. inThai dance Program from Chulalongkorn University, Bankok Thailand and Mr. PeeraPhanluktoaw who was received graduated in Ballet at Mahasarakham University and also Theschool of choreography in Uzbakistan, Russia too.
