Illustrations are not an exact representation of the machine sections but they are typical.Turn to the illustration on which you expect to find the part to be replaced. The part will be shown withan item number of no more than three digits. Examination of the accompanying text will give the group referencenumber.This group reference number, together with the machine serial number, will enable your Michigan distributorto supply you with the part which you require.HOW TO USE THIS BOOKLet us assume that you are replacing the Upper Radiator Hose, Right Hand, on your Machine.Turn to the exploded drawing and locate the basic group. containing Upper Radiator Hose, i.e. 02M; byreferring 02M to the Index of basic group numbers it is identified as the Engine Cooling group.Turn now to the illustrations in the book that make up the Engine Cooling group and are numbered 02P atthe bottom of the page, one illustration in this group will show an Upper. Radiator Hose. In this exampleillustration page 02P-101.On illustration 02P-101 the Upper Radiator Hose is annotated as Item 3. By reference to the text on thepage the Group Reference Number is obtained. In this example 02M-103.By quoting 02M-103 and your Machine Serial Number your Distributor will supply the hose required.SPECIAL SYMBOLSThe following symbols are used throughout the book:-Not sold.
