To <strong>the</strong> south-east of <strong>the</strong> gardens of EinKhudra is <strong>the</strong> mouth of <strong>the</strong> WhiteCanyon (7). Start walking in <strong>the</strong> s<strong>and</strong>ywadi floor, soon reaching a point where<strong>the</strong> correct path goes up (8) to <strong>the</strong>right h<strong>and</strong> side, towards a crack in <strong>the</strong>rock wall. The wadi fur<strong>the</strong>r ono<strong>the</strong>rwise comes to a point whichcannot be accessed. Reaching <strong>the</strong> topof <strong>the</strong> climb in <strong>the</strong> crack you can havea last look back on <strong>the</strong> oasis, before<strong>the</strong> climb down (9) on <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r sideinto <strong>the</strong> narrow upper part of <strong>the</strong> samewadi. The White Canyon really startsfrom here, first in a straight stretchbetween vertical walls. After some verynarrow winding part you will reach <strong>the</strong>end of <strong>the</strong> canyon.At <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> canyon <strong>the</strong>re is a ladder (10) <strong>and</strong> rope to help you getup to <strong>the</strong> very same plateau you started your walk from. There is ashelter (arisha) (11) at <strong>the</strong> top where you can have a rest in shade.From here you can head back to Cafeteria Joma, or continue on to<strong>Jebel</strong> Mileihis or Wadi Ghazala via Majaza.33
