5. Game dress will be uniform (<strong>UWA</strong> athletic training polo shirt, khaki shorts/ khaki pants/ wind pants). The onlyvariations to this game dress uniform will be in instances where the sport’s staff requests the ATS to “dress up”or other considerations are made by the ATSMC staff (all variations must be approved prior to competition).6. <strong>Athletic</strong> training students who are also <strong>UWA</strong> student athletes are required to follow all aspects <strong>of</strong> the athletictraining dress code when reporting to their own treatment or rehabilitation sessions to create a pr<strong>of</strong>essionalconsistency among all athletic training students.Dress Code• Shirts/Polo’s/Dress Shirts/Sweatshirts/Jacketso <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong>, <strong>UWA</strong> or Adidas gear onlyo Plain white, red or gray shirt or polo’s, if <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong> or <strong>UWA</strong> gear is dirty/unavailableo No rips, tears, holes, snags, frays or stainso Game shirts must be worn during Physician’s Clinic and Game Days• Shorts/Pantso <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong>, <strong>UWA</strong>, Adidas or non-competitive brand onlyo Khaki or slight variation <strong>of</strong> khaki coloro No army green, gray, black or printed khakis, no denim except for rodeoo No sweatpants, tights underneath shorts, pajama pants or scrubs, or cargo pants/shortso No rips, tears, holes, snags, frays or stains• Belto Brown or black onlyo No studs, multicolored or printed design• Shoeso Adidas or non-competitive brand onlyo Dress shoes (functional for running) are permitted with appropriate attireo ALL shoes must be closed toe and closed heelo No flip-flops, sandals, slippers, etc.• Socks/Sunglasses/Hats/Piercingso <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong>, <strong>UWA</strong>, Adidas or non-competitive brand onlyo No hats, sweatshirt hoods or sunglasses are to be worn in <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Facility (JH 216 & PH32)o No multicolored, printed socks that are visibleo ALL facial piercing must be removed before entering the <strong>Athletic</strong> <strong>Training</strong> FacilityIn order to maintain the pr<strong>of</strong>essional appearance <strong>of</strong> the students <strong>of</strong> the athletic training program, the followingareas will also be considered part <strong>of</strong> the code.1. Earrings on male students are unaccep<strong>table</strong>. Females may wear earrings if appropriate (may not be long ordangling). Visible body piercings will not be allowed.2. Hairstyles should be neat and maintained. For males, hair may not extend below the shirt collar and facial hairmust be kept neatly trimmed. Facial hair should be kept to a minimum or neatly trimmed if having a moustacheor beard. Make it a point to be cleanly shaven (no stubble), especially at athletic events, physicals, or ondoctor’s visits. For females with long hair, it must be pulled back/put up in a neat and functional fashion.3. Jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, etc) must not interfere with the proper delivery <strong>of</strong> patient care.Students admitted to the program will be provided a minimum <strong>of</strong> two (2) <strong>UWA</strong> athletic training staff T-shirtsand one (1) <strong>UWA</strong> athletic training polo. Additional clothing is available for purchase by the student at a reducedcost. Students applying to the program or those in the practicum classes must also wear appropriate <strong>UWA</strong> athletictraining apparel, which is available for purchase or at the <strong>UWA</strong> Bookstore.<strong>UWA</strong> <strong>Athletic</strong>s has an exclusive contract with Adidas. As a result, our athletic training staff and students areencouraged to wear Adidas gear during all athletic events and practices. <strong>Athletic</strong> gear displaying other brand nameswill not be allowed, however gear that does not display a competing brand name will be allowed. Our colors are redand white and must be the primary colors on any athletic gear. An absolute minimal amount <strong>of</strong> black may beallowed as an accent color only. Beyond this khaki pants are allowed. We do not, at any time, wear gear displayingother college or university names or logos.24
