HANDBELL CHOIRThe Handbell Choir has approximately 12 members who are drawn from the Concert Choir. Theensemble performs on the Concert Choir‘s spring tour program and at various other campus events.The Handbell Choir is administered and directed by junior or senior music majors. Its responsibilities include the planning of the Southeastern Youth Roundtable andother youth retreats. It is composed of Brethren students appointed by the Cabinet.AdvisorMr. Steve SpireJAZZ BANDPerforming a wide variety of music from the jazz idiom, this ensemble participates in at least fiveevening performances throughout the year and a weeklong spring tour following commencement.This tour includes performing at high schools along the Eastern United States. This group is selectedby audition in the spring and attends a preschool music camp prior to Fall Semester.Faculty AdvisorDr. Timothy WeirMULTICULTURAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (MLP)Through programming and mentoring, the mission of the Multicultural Leadership Program is toprovide academic, social, and emotional guidance for incoming students to succeed in the transitionto Bridgewater College. We strongly encourage first-generation and under-represented students toparticipate.The MLP Program partners current student leaders with incoming students. The goal of the programis to build connections between new students and returning students, and to build connectionsbetween the cultures of various students, while helping new students make the transition toBridgewater College smooth and seamless.AdvisorsMs. Stephanie Wilson and Mr. Pete RaefordMUSIC EDUCATORS NATIONAL CONFERENCEThe Music Educators National Conference is one of hundreds of student chapters dedicated to theprofessional life of future music teachers. The Bridgewater College chapter is advised by a memberof the music faculty.
