Bringing song,dance and laughter to community centers,religious groups and clubs throughout SarasotaCounty, they currently reach 5,000 audiencemembers each season. Every March theyproduce a full-length variety show – “The Follies”– which helps raise money for Venice Theatre’seducation and outreach programs.Joe Simmons, veteran actor and director, is theartistic director of the Silver Foxes. “The Follies’combination of singing,dancing and fast-pacedcomedy never gets old,” Simmons said. JasonSilver Fox Singers performing The Beach Boys’ “Kokomo” at last year’s Follies.Brenner, a frequent musical director and performerat the Venice Theatre, is resident musicaldirector of the Foxes.Evening performances are at 8 p.m. Wednesdaythrough Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.Reserved seats are $24 and can be purchasedonline at www.venicestage.com or by callingthe box office at 941-488-1115.
