Report of the Auditorsto the Members of Parkway Holdings LimitedWe have audited the accompanying financial statements of Parkway Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries for the year ended 31December 2005 as set out on pages 44 to 101. These financial statements are the responsibility of the Company’s directors. Ourresponsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audit.We conducted our audit in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing. Those Standards require that we plan and perform theaudit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement. An audit includesexamining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. An audit also includesassessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by the directors, as well as evaluating the overall financialstatement presentation.
