1. IntroductionCanada offers a wide range of tourism experiences to its residents. In order to obtain a betterunderstanding of the potential size, characteristics and interests of <strong>Canadian</strong> activity-based marketsegments, the <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Tourism</strong> Commission (CTC) commissioned Research Resolutions &Consulting Ltd. to undertake special analyses and reports based on the Travel Activities andMotivation Survey (TAMS). This report focuses on <strong>Hard</strong> <strong>Outdoor</strong> <strong>Adventure</strong> <strong>Enthusiasts</strong> –<strong>Canadian</strong>s who have taken leisure trips in Canada and exhibit a particular interest in hard outdooradventure.
