Network ServaNTThis is what you can do with these four options: Add Ping Host: If you create a new ping host, or when you modify an existing ping host,FREEping Gold allows you to manage four items: ping destination, ping settings, alertsettings and command line:1. Ping destination In this window, you can enter the name of the host to be pinged. Youonly have to enter either the host name, Full Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or the IPaddress, and FREEping Gold will automatically figure out the values of the other twoitems. You are also able to enter information in the comment field to describe this host.2. Ping settings : This window is used for defining how often FREEping should ping andfor defining the ping success & failure period and the ping timeout.3. Alert settings : This window is used for defining the administrators to send popup/ emailmessages to. You can also have FREEping enter information in a server log.4. Command line: Enter the name of the program you want to execute in this window.If you created a host template, the settings of the host template will appear as defaults.Modify ping host settings: This option allows you to modify the settings of oneparticular host or multiple hosts. If you select this option, the same tabbed windowappears as if you selected the Add Ping Host option. The difference is that the values youentered when you created this host will be displayed.Delete ping host: If you select this option, the host (or multiple hosts) will be deletedfrom the list.Reset Statistics: If you want FREEping Gold to collect statistical data from scratch,select this option. You can reset statistics for one host or for multiple hosts.18
