INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE• Warning: Never attempt to fit this booster seat into anyvehicle.• Warning - Never leave your child unattended in thebooster seat for any reason.• The minimum seat dimensions are, depth: 37cm width: 29 cm.• Only attach the booster seat to a stable chair that has fourlegs and a fixed backrest. Never attach the booster seat to astool or folding chair.• Ensure that any loose covers or cushion pads are removed fromthe chair before fitting the booster seat.• Never attach the booster seat to a chair that has castors.• Always ensure the chair is on a level, stable surface anddoes not rock.• Always ensure the attachment strap is securely fitted and fullytightened before placing your child in the booster seat.• Always use the waist strap supplied and ensure it is correctlyadjusted to give a tight but comfortable fit.• When the booster seat is pushed up against a table, ensurethe chid cannot push itself backwards using its feet.• Never use the booster seat on any raised surface such asworktops or tables. Only use the booster seat on the specifiedtype of chair.• Never allow children to play with the booster seat.• Regularly check all webbing straps and buckles for wear andtear. If the buckles and webbing have become worn, do not usethe booster seat.– 2 –


OPENING THE BOOSTER SEATStep 1:Grip the top of the backrestand lift it upwards until it isverticalStep 2:Still gripping the top of theback rest and push down.Step 3:Check that the backrest iscorrectly fitted by attemptingto push it down again, thebackrest must not fold.– 3 –


FITTING THE SEAT STRAPStep 1:Thread the end of the seatstrap through the slots in oneof the seat strap protectors,see diagram.Step 2:Thread the end of the seatstrap through the slots in thesides of the booster seat’sbase, see diagram.Step 3:Thread the end of the seatstrap through the slots in theremaining seat strapprotector, see diagram.Step 4:Thread the seat strap buckleonto the ends of the seatstrap as shown in thediagram.– 4 –


OPERATING THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SPHERESThe booster seat is fitted withthree independentlyadjustable height spheres.To remove the spheres:Grip the top and bottomsections of the spheres androtate anti-clockwise through90º, the arrow on the bottomsection with ‘OPEN’ on itshould now be aligned withthe arrow on the top section.Slide the sphere off the seatattachment point.Height positions:The sphere can be attached tothe seat in eight differentheight positions.1 2 3 45 6 7 8To refit the spheres:Slot the sphere back onto theseats attachment point.Grip the top and bottomsections of the spheres androtate clockwise through 90º.The arrow on the bottomsection with ‘CLOSED’ on itmust now be aligned with thearrow on the top section.– 5 –


FITTING AND REMOVING THE BOOSTERStep 1:Fitting the booster seat:Place the booster seat ontothe chair.Ensure that all of the heightadjustment spheres are firmlypositioned on the seat of thechair.Step 2:Pass the two sections of thechair strap under the seat.Now push the two parts ofthe buckle together.Step 3:Grip the loose end of the chairstrap and pull tight untilalmost all of the slack hasbeen removed.– 7 –


ASSEMBLYStep 4:Position the rubber protectorson the corners of the chair’sframe to protect the webbing.Grip the loose end of thestrap and pull as tight as youcan.Step 5:Removing the booster seat:Push the prongs on the sidesof the seat attachment buckleinwards and the buckle willopen, see diagram.Never undo the attachmentbuckle of the booster seatwith the child still in the seat.Step 6:Lift the booster seat clear ofthe chair and fold thebackrest flat by liftingupwards and then loweringdown onto the booster seat’sbase.Store the booster seat in asafe place away from youngchildren.– 8 –


USING THE WAIST STRAPStep 1:The booster seat is fitted withan adjustable waist strap.This strap must be used everytime the child is placed in thebooster seat.Step 2:Fastening the waist strapPush the tongue (1) on theend of one section of thewaist strap into the buckle (2)on the other end of the waiststrap.Pull the adjustment strap (3)until it is tight but stillcomfortable for your child. 31 2Step 3:Unfastening the waist strapPush the prongs on thetongue (4) together and slideout of the buckle (5).544– 9 –


CARE AND MAINTENANCEBefore use: Check that the booster seat is correctly assembled.Check that all of the attachment straps are correctly fitted andtightened around the chair. Check that the safety harness iscorrectly fitted and adjusted.Check regularly that: All fastenings and straps are operatingcorrectly and have not become worn or broken. Do not use if anycomponents or straps are broken or missing. Only use replacementspare parts that are recommended or supplied by <strong>Mamas</strong> & <strong>Papas</strong>.Non-approved spare parts may render the repair or chair boosterseat unsafe.Cleaning: Clean all the plastic parts with a damp sponge or clothand mild detergent.
