<strong>Course</strong> <strong>Description</strong> <strong>Book</strong> 2012-2013<strong>Hortonville</strong> High <strong>School</strong> has worked to personalize the 16 Career Clusters by making suggestions regarding academic and career and technical educationalcourse work which reflect HHS courses, curriculum and educational opportunities and partnerships. To further assist students, parents and High <strong>School</strong>staff, a <strong>Hortonville</strong> High <strong>School</strong> Career Pathways (Career Plan of Study) also includes information regarding meeting the <strong>Hortonville</strong> High <strong>School</strong>graduation requirements, Admissions information for entrance to a Technical College, Four Year College or Baccalaureate Degree institution, Occupationsof Interest as well as websites that students may search to research and learn more about a particular career. Our desire is that The Career Clusters,Pathways and Programs of Study that are in the process of ongoing development will serve as a catalyst for us to examine our curriculum in all areas, suchas to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes to be successful in the 21’st Century.Beginning with the 2010-11 academic school year we are pleased to announce the development of the new Wisconsin Career Pathways initiative.This cooperative partnership between the WI Technical Colleges, University of WI, WI Association of Private Colleges and Universities, WI Departmentof Public Instruction and the WI Department of Workforce Development has worked to develop and make available to the students and their parents whoattend Wisconsin schools, a new web based resource that will help students to “Develop the Path to Your Future”. Our goal this year will be to transitionour <strong>Hortonville</strong> HS Career Cluster and Pathway Plans of Study into the new state based website. This will empower all HASD partners to access up to dateinformation re: local as well as state wide opportunities to explore and develop a personalized career plan of study.
