Pre-Installation Information Chapter 2: InstallationSiting RequirementsEnvironmentalElectricalThe unit is cooled by forced air drawn in from its right-hand side, andexpelled through vents on the left-hand side. Consequently, there mustbe free passage for air flow at both sides of the unit to allow for adequateventilation. An ambient temperature should be maintained between32°F (0°C) and 104°F (40°C) at a relative humidity of 10%-90%(non-condensing).The rear panel is fitted with a standard IEC mains connector. A supply of100 V to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, is required.Rack Mounting RequirementsAlthough the chassis is providedwith standard front mountingears for securing to the rackaperture, it is recommended thatsuitable shelf supports beprovided within the rack. Failureto provide suitable shelfsupports may result inequipment damage and/orpersonal injury.The unit is designed for mounting into a standard 19 in. (483 mm) rackand occupies a vertical space of 2RU (3.5 in./90 mm). The chassis isprovided with standard front-mounting ears for securing to the rackaperture (see Figure 2-1).
