Chapter 4: Control DescriptionsIndicator Highways and Rotary KnobsControl Description OperationSize andPositionButtonActivate the Size and PositionHighway (second row ofindicators).On this highway, you can set:• Horizontal Size - Set thehorizontal size of the outputpicture between the limits of+89% and -50%. The default isset at 0%.• Vertical Size - Set the verticalsize of the output picturebetween the limits of +50% and-50%. The default is set at 0%.• Horizontal Position - Set thehorizontal position of theoutput picture between thelimits of +50% to -50%. Thedefault is set at 0%.• Vertical Position - Set thevertical position of the outputpicture between the limits of+40% and -40%. The default isset at 0%.The above vertical and horizontalsizes and positions are measuredrelative to a standard 4:3 inputpicture.Example: If the Horizontal Size isset to 0% (default setting), theoutput will remain a 4:3 pictureeven when displayed on a 16:9screen and will have blank rightand left borders. To fill the 16:9screen, the size will have to beincreased by approximately 33%.If the Horizontal Position of apicture is moved by 50%, this willresult in the picture moving half(50%) of its original width, to theleft or right.1. Press the Size andPosition button toactivate thecorrespondinghighway (second rowof indicators).2. Turn the knob directlybelow each indicatorto adjust the bargraph level on theDisplay Screen.3.
