FoundationN E W SOh, The Places They GoWinning a Scholarship is Just the First Step of a Longer JourneySpring 2012Every year, the <strong>Seven</strong> <strong>Oaks</strong> EducationFoundation awards more than 80scholarships to students throughout the<strong>Seven</strong> <strong>Oaks</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>Division</strong>.But awarding the scholarship is only thebeginning because a scholarship is asmuch about the work that comes afterthe awards ceremony as it is about thework that came before.With that thought in mind, we catch upwith a few previous scholarship winnersfrom the <strong>Seven</strong> <strong>Oaks</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>Division</strong> tosee what they are doing now, and howtheir scholarship win impacted their lives –wherever their career path has taken them.Name: Keeley EdwardsGraduated: From WestKildonan Collegiate in2009Scholarships Received: The Nellie& Ben Zaidman Memorial Scholarshipfrom the <strong>Seven</strong> <strong>Oaks</strong> EducationFoundation, and Advanced EarlyAdmissions and an entrance scholarshipwith the University of ManitobaPost-Graduation Path: ComeSeptember 2012, Keeley will beginher fourth year at the University ofManitoba, in her third year of theBiochemistry Honours program.
