From Ms Prout….On Monday May 28 th and Wednesday May 30 th , middle years students signed up toparticipate in either a morning of afternoon softball clinic session covered by SoftballManitoba. We were very lucky to have three clinicians come in and show our studentsdifferent skills and strategies for softball. They also brought tons of equipment withthem and donated items such as balls, bats, gloves, stands and bases.Students learned how to throw, catch, run andhit by doing drills with their partner or as a whole group. After all of the exciting practicethey were able to use their skills during a fun game with each other.Thank you again to everyone who helped including the volunteers who ran the sessions,Mrs. Collette who loves softball and was able to arrange this fantastic day as well as allof the teachers and Beep staff.Batter Up!9 June 2012 Elwick Newsletter
