The Consultant will review any existing documents necessary to familiarize themselves with theproject background. The existing documents could consist of the following elements:• Final Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration• Phase IA Park Development Schematic Design• Information current land use plans• Historical well production data (monthly and daily)• Water supplies studies previously completed on various water supply options• GIS information and atlas maps1.2 Site VisitThe Consultant shall conduct a site visit to familiarize themselves with Phase IA, Phase IB andPhase 2 of the Duck Farm Project.Task 2: New Service and Water Demand Growth Projections2.1 Summary of Historical ProductionThe Consultant will obtain groundwater production as well as current potable water usage data.2.2 Water Demand ProjectionsThe Consultant will perform a water demand projection for irrigation, potable water usage andfire demand for all three Phases for the project utilizing the historical groundwater productionand current potable water usage data as well as projections for the future uses of the DuckFarm Project. The Consultant will also recommend maximum and minimum day peaking factorsfor water supply and system analyses.Task 3: Develop Alternative Water Sources to Increase Water Supply Reliability3.1 Develop Water Supply Reliability CriteriaThe Consultant will develop criteria, in conjunction with the WCA, for water supply reliabilitycriteria. This will consist of level of service expected during the following conditions or watersupply events under existing and future demand conditions:• Normal water conditions• San Gabriel Valley Water Company water supply shortages• Los Angeles County Sanitation District recycled water supply shortages• Pipeline break or natural disaster (i.e. earthquake)3.2 Summarize and Rank Water Supply OptionsThe Consultant will summarize water supply options available to the WCA. For each option, thesupply option will be described and evaluated for the following criteria: available capacity,supply reliability gained, ease of negotiating institutional agreements, ease of conveyance/distribution, ease of permitting, and estimated construction cost. The supplies evaluated willconsist of the following water supply options:• Imported water purchase from San Gabriel Valley Water Company• Groundwater from the Main San Gabriel basin.• Recycled water purchase from San Gabriel Valley Water CompanyPage 2
