Local authority (within the meaningof the Children Act 1989) in the exerciseof functions under section 67 of that Actconsidering whether B is suitable —(a) to foster a child privately (withinthe meaning of that Act);(b) to live in premises in which achild is so fostered13. Person who is considering whether Bis suitable to engage in regulated activityin relation to a vulnerable adult who is afriend or family member of the person,but not if B is permitted to do so by anindependent regulated activity provider14.
