The site has nolink with the Festival and none of the bandswill be on the bill via this site. FestivalRepublic promoters of The Reading andLeeds Festivals are totally committed tonew and unsigned bands/talent and havethis year been working closely with theBBC introducing BBC Raw Talent.JUNKYARD SCIENTISTSOn Bank Holiday Monday 26th May the‘Junkyard Scientists’ were the first bandever to play an in store gig at Zavvi(formally Virgin Mega Store), Broad StreetMall, Reading as part of a collaborationwith the music megastore.‘Junkyard Scientists’ a 7 piece band took tothe in-store stage at about 7pm, performingtheir funk-infused hip-hop/soul materialfrom their debut EP which was releasedand on sale at Zavvi, so not only did peopleget the chance to see the band perform livebut they were some of the first to buy thenew debut EP plus there was other Junkyardmerchandise on sale as well.Formed only last year, the ‘Junkyard Scientists’have been setting dance floorsalight all over the south of England withtheir explosive live performances and partyatmosphere. If you like ‘Jamiroquai’,‘James Brown,’ ‘Sly & the family Stone’,and ‘Amp Fiddler’ then check out the band.The Reading music store Zavvi want tosupport the local music scene by promotinglocal and live music with the ‘JunkyardScientists’ being the first band to performthere.
