EXPOSURE DETERMINATIONDEFINITIONOSHA requires employers to perform an exposure determination toidentify which employees may incur occupational exposure to bloodand/or other potentially infectious materials. The exposure determinationis made without regard to the use of personal protective equipment.Employees are considered to be at risk for exposure even if they wearpersonal protective equipment.
