Local Resource Centers, based on <strong>the</strong> model in Yangon, should be established at <strong>the</strong> hublevel, staffed with national NGO Liaison Officers, <strong>to</strong> provide outreach, improve access <strong>to</strong>information, streng<strong>the</strong>n hub-level coordinationDisaster Risk Reduction (DRR)R.14. The international community should support <strong>the</strong> development <strong>of</strong> a national DRR strategy forMyanmar, facilitating learning and technical expertise as appropriate. This strategy shouldhave a robust community level component and immediate priority given <strong>to</strong> communityconsultations around DRR, not only <strong>to</strong> improve planning, but <strong>to</strong> help alleviate widespreadpsychosocial stress.R.15. The Humanitarian Coordina<strong>to</strong>r should take appropriate steps <strong>to</strong> ensure that all recoveryactivities incorporate appropriate DRR components at a community level.LivelihoodsR.16. Recovery <strong>of</strong> livelihoods, along with DRR, should be ac <strong>to</strong>p priority over <strong>the</strong> coming monthsand <strong>the</strong> HC should oversee a process <strong>of</strong> consolidation, reprioritization and streng<strong>the</strong>ning <strong>of</strong>supporting moni<strong>to</strong>ring and accountability systems.9
