PrefaceImportant Notes:• The CompuScope SDK for C/C++ for Windows supports all the CompuScope cards includingCompactPCI/PXI CompuScopes and CP500-class single PCI CompuScopes. Older CSx012/PCICompuScopes and ISA CompuScopes are no longer sold by Gage and are not supported by currentC/C++ SDKs. The last CompuScope C/C++ SDK that supported these CompuScope models wasversion 3.46.02.• No hardware installation instructions are included in this guide. For information on how to install yourCompuScope hardware, please see your hardware manual.• You must install the CompuScope Drivers before using the CompuScope SDK for C/C++ forWindows. Please refer to CompuScope Driver Installation Guide on how to install CompuScopeWindows Drivers.• All sample programs provided are written in MS Visual C++ version 5.0. Complete MS Visual C++projects provided for each SDK sample program. The sample programs may be operated using otherWindows C compilers, but no project files are provided.• Throughout this manual the terms “CompuScope Software Development Kit for C/C++ for Windows”,“CompuScope SDK for C/C++ for Windows”, CompuScope C/C++ SDK” and “C/C++ SDK” will beused interchangeably.This manual assumes that the programmer is familiar with the C programming language.
