UMG 508The following has to be considered when connectingthe voltage measurement:• A suitable separator is to be provided in orderto disconnect the UMG508 from the currentand voltage.cWarning!Voltages that exceed the authorizednetwork nominal voltages must beconnected using a voltage converter.• The separator must be placed near to theUMG508, labelled for the user and must beeasy to reach.• Use UL/IEC authorized overcurrent protectionand isolators (10A type C) only.• The overcurrent protection device must havea nominal value calculated for the short-circuitcurrent at the connection point.• Measurement voltages and measurementcurrents must come from the same network.cccWarning!The UMG508 is not suitable for measuringDC voltages.Warning!The voltage measurement inputs on theUMG508 are dangerous to touch!Warning!The voltage measurement inputs maynot be used for voltage measurementin SELV circuits (Safety Extra Low Voltage).19
