UMG 508Service and MaintenanceThe device is subjected to different safety testsbefore delivery and marked with a seal. If a deviceis opened, the safety tests have to be repeated.A guarantee is only provided for unopeneddevices.Repair and CalibrationRepair work and calibration can only be undertakenby the manufacturer.Front filmCleaning the front film can be done with a softcloth and domestic detergent. Acids and productscontaining acids may not be used forcleaning.BatteryThe internal clock is fed from the supply voltage.If the supply voltage fails, the clock is suppliedby the battery. The clock provides the date andtime information, e.g. for recordings, minimumand maximum values and events.The expected battery life is at least 5 years at astorage temperature of +45°C. The typical batterylife is 8 to 10 years.The device must be opened to exchange thebattery. If the device has been opened, a newsafety test is required for safe operation.
