The <strong>St</strong>ars Aligned for <strong>Crisis</strong> <strong>Nursery</strong>Celebrity Waitresses & Waiters’ Night 2013 HighlightsFRONTENAC, MO (August 16, 2013)—More than 100 national and local celebrities played to a sold-outcrowd of hungry diners at Saint <strong>Louis</strong> <strong>Crisis</strong> <strong>Nursery</strong>’s 23 rd Celebrity Waitresses & Waiters’ Night. Over$83,000 was raised to benefit the agency’s abuse prevention programs, which helps protect 7,000children each year.The event, presented by Carney’s Kids Foundation, was held at Plaza Frontenac. Guests dined at BRIOTuscan Grille, Canyon Café and Fleming’s Prime <strong>St</strong>eakhouse, and enjoyed nosh & cocktails by BrickTop’s,live entertainment by local favorites, and bided on lavish silent auction items in the mall’s Center Court.The World Famous Olympic legend and gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee and former <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> RamsAeneas Williams were sighted at BRIO Tuscan Grille working hard to dethrone Chip Walker of Wells-Fargo Advisors, who was the 2012 Celebrity Waiter of the Year. Joyner-Kersee served guests with helpfrom her good friend and <strong>Nursery</strong> supporter, Ivory Crockett, The World’s Fastest Man. Other eventfeatures at BRIO included live music by Perry Woods and an extravagant Tiffany & Co. raffle. BRIOTuscan Grille was sponsored by the Ladue News.<strong>St</strong>eps away, hundreds <strong>more</strong> guests dined at Canyon Café to the tropical sounds of <strong>St</strong>eel Drummer NigelThomas. It was lights, camera and action as media favorites and elected officials, including CountyExecutive Charlie Dooley, Mayor Sally Faith, and Sen. Tom Dempsey worked together to secure muchneeded funds for <strong>Crisis</strong> <strong>Nursery</strong>’s deserving children and 24-hour centers. The eager crowd was wonover with the appearance of newbie anchor Sharon Reed of KMOV and Cam Janssen of the New JerseyDevils. Canyon Café was sponsored by The <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Louis</strong> American.A line of vibrant-colored, exotic luxury vehicles at Fleming’s gave clue that newly-weds Danny & LauraKathleen Baker were on-site to serve for <strong>Crisis</strong> <strong>Nursery</strong> children. Other crowd favorites to make anappearance were Ray & Shawn Vinson, Jan & Sam Orlando, and Maureen <strong>St</strong>rasheim. Fleming’s Prime<strong>St</strong>eakhouse was sponsored by Clear Channel Media.It was mascot mania in Center Court. Louie, Coca Cola Bear, Rampage, SLU Billiken, and Fredbird gladlyphoto bombed guests pictures while grooving to the sounds of Arvell & Co. and Bryan & Lola.
