We also celebrated the end of Susan Uyesugi’s term asDirector and welcomed Elson Gushiken as he represents Hawaii as its new Director. Susan was presentedwith several gifts but the best one was the baseball autographed by Shane Victorino. She was unable to attendthe game since she was at the AWWA Board of Directors meeting but this made up for missing the game.The Kauai Women’s and the Big Island Men’s Pipe Tapping Teams represented the section well but did notmake the finals.U.S. Pipe and Neptune are just two of the companies that had great parties at the Georgia Aquarium.Jon Muraoka, Susan Uyesugi and Eddie Doi attended the Section Officers Forum on Tuesday afternoon.Eddie Doi accepted the Club 7 award on behalf of the Hawaii Section and also received the Gold PresidentialAward for recruitment.Look forward to seeing even more of the Hawaii Section at the San Diego Meeting since it’s a shorter flightthan this year! §AWWA Hawaii Section Joins Hawaiian Airlines Preferred Affiliate ProgramThe Hawaii Section of AWWA has joined the Hawaiian Airlines Preferred Affiliate program, which offersspecial discounted airfares for friends and families of AWWA members.
