Making a differencein your local areaOur housing teamshave been out andabout making adifference in your localarea once again.Both the North and SouthHousing Teams have beenrunning regular ‘Walkabouts’where local residents, the police,highways agency and otherinterested people join us to walkaround an area and look at whatcan be done to make an areabetter.We have been making adifference by looking street bystreet at where you live. Someof the work completed is listedbelow:■ Following gas works we haveworked to put back thegrassed areas aroundChawson in Droitwich■ Residents were concernedabout a wall in Little Park,Droitwich. This wall has nowbeen improved■ There will now be more localpatrols and signage aroundMalvern Vale to try andreduce the problem of dogfouling■ Old and damaged fencing bythe shops in Stalls Farm Road,Droitwich is being removedand replaced■ Graffiti has been removedfrom many of our estates■ Residents raised the issue of alack of litter bins on MalvernVale, we are now workingwith the town council toresolve this.■ A missing drain cover andblocked gulley was identifiedin Teesdale Close inDroitwich, these have beenrectified and drainage in thearea has improved.This is just a small selection ofthe work that has taken placefollowing our walkabouts, wereally value your input so pleasedo try and come along to thewalkabouts in your area.
