Lawley’s LandA number of residents, with an interest ingardening, have signed up to a nine monthFestival allotment project based at Top Barn,Holt Heath, Worcestershire.Participants are now threemonths into the project andthe plots are taking shapenicely. Residents have beengiven their own plot of land togrow a wide range of fruit,vegetables and flowers. Expertadvice is on hand to answerany questions and regulartutorials take place to increasegardening knowledge.Transport is provided everyMonday from Malvern,Droitwich and Ledbury to helpour gardeners in getting totheir plots.We hope that at the end of theproject residents will be willingto get involved in similarcommunity gardening projectsin their local area, giving theman opportunity to share theirknowledge and experience.The project, originally known asFestival Farm has beenrenamed to honour a formerBoard member, Don Lawleywho very sadly passed awaylate last year.
