There arecertain minimum requirements that should be met, but authorities must assess each product on itsown merits and weigh carefully <strong>the</strong> relative features <strong>of</strong> each product in making a decision. This sectionfocuses on <strong>the</strong> evaluation process, first outlining <strong>the</strong> key in<strong>for</strong>mation that must be ga<strong>the</strong>red from <strong>the</strong>manufacturer, and second summarizing <strong>the</strong> basic requirements that must be met <strong>for</strong> a product to beconsidered safe.
