49Third YearTheory : 3 Hrs. /Week3.1 PHARMACOLOGY – II (THEORY)1. Scope of the Subject: This subject will provide an opportunity for the student to learnabout the drug with regard to classification, pharmacodynamic and pharmacokineticaspects, adverse effects, uses, dose, route of administration, precautions, contraindicati onsand interaction with other drugs. In this subject, drugs acting on autacoids, respiratorysystem, GIT, immune system and hormones, and pharmacology of autocoids andhormones will be concentrated. In addition, pharmacology of chemotherapeutic agents,vitamines, essential minerals and principles of toxicology are also taught. In addition totheoretical knowledge, the basic practical knowledge relevant to therapeutics will beimparted.2.
