MAINTENANCE 66WARNINGNever use your motorcycle if the fluidlevel is below the MIN mark. The brakesmay fail to properly operate, whichcould lead to an accident. If the brakefluid level is below the MIN mark, youmust have it topped up by an authorizedMV Agusta dealer.WARNINGHave the topping up of the brake fluidperformed only by skilled personnel.Brake fluid is highly toxic. Avoid ingestionand contact with your skin or eyes.Keep brake fluid out of reach of childrenand domestic animals. In the event of abrake fluid ingestion, immediately call adoctor and do not cause vomiting, inorder to avoid inhalation of brake fluidin lungs. If the brake fluid comes intouch with your skin or eyes, immediatelywash with water.WARNINGUse only the brake fluid specified atparagraph 6.3. of this manual. Mixing differentbrake fluids can cause a dangerouschemical reaction, as well as thedecrease of the braking efficiency, withsubsequent increase of the risk of accidents.WARNINGAn insufficient amount of brake fluid mayallow the introduction of air in the brakingsystem. This could compromise the effectivenessof the braking system, with subsequentincrease of the risk of accidents.Presence of air in the braking system canbe identified in the moment you feel acharacteristic “spongy effect” whilepushing the brake pedal. In this case,have a braking system bleeding performedby an authorized MV Agusta dealerbefore riding your motorcycle again.- 114 -
