MAINTENANCE 6Lubrication - Apply a slight and uniform film oflubricant over the whole length of the drive chain,taking care not to smear the surrounding parts,and in particular the tyres.CAUTIONOnly use the lubricant specified in theparagraph 6.3. of this manual, in orderto protect the drive chain and avoid oilspurts when the vehicle is in motion.6WARNINGChain lubrication must be performedaccording to the intervals specified inthe tables of scheduled maintenance(see § 6.1.). It is also necessary to performthis operation after riding under therain and after cleaning the motorcycle.Riding your motorcycle when the drivechain is in poor condition or improperlyadjusted can lead to accidents.- 124 -
