More commonly, the characterof the landscape will change gradually rather than suddenly, and therefore boundaries drawnbetween Landscape Character Types and Areas shown on Figure 2.8 should be considered toreflect zones of transition in many cases. In addition, the boundaries drawn aroundLandscape Character Types and Areas has been defined and mapped at a scale of 1:25,000,and the assessment is therefore only suitable for use at this scale.
