If you specify REQUIRED=YES andthe connection in<strong>for</strong>mation that you specify in your LIBNAME statement issufficient, <strong>SAS</strong> makes the connection and you are not prompted <strong>for</strong> additionalin<strong>for</strong>mation. If you specify REQUIRED=YES and the connection in<strong>for</strong>mationthat you specify in your LIBNAME statement is not sufficient, the provider’sdialog box prompts you <strong>for</strong> the required connection in<strong>for</strong>mation. You cannotenter optional connection in<strong>for</strong>mation in the dialog box. NO is the defaultvalue. REQUIRED= is available only when you set OLEDB_SERVICES=NOand you specify a provider in the PROVIDER= option.
