Ella HenryNgātikahu ki Whangaroa, Ngāti Kuri, Te RārawaElla Henry has a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Māori Studies) and a Mas<strong>te</strong>r ofPhilosophy (Management Studies and Labour Relations) from The University ofAuckland. She is a PhD candida<strong>te</strong> at AUT University, submitting her thesis-exegesis inOctober 2011. The creative work comprised a documentary about Māorientrepreneurship in screen production. Ella is a Senior Lecturer in Māori Media andMāori Development, within Te Ara Poutama: Faculty of Māori Development. Ella hasalso taught in Management Employment Relations at The University of Auckland, andwas Head of Puukenga School of Māori Education at Uni<strong>te</strong>c. Ella has also workedex<strong>te</strong>nsively in screen production in a variety of roles over the last 20 years and wasrecently elec<strong>te</strong>d Chair of Ngā Aho Whakaari, the Guild for Māori in the screen industry.___________________________________Miki RoderickTe Arawa, Ngāti WhātuaMiki is a political scientist, and priva<strong>te</strong> consultant. Miki specialises in the areas ofindigenous development, governance and administration including stra<strong>te</strong>gic labourmarket policy and work-force development. He holds an Honours Degree in SocialScience (Public Policy and Administration) from The University of Waikato and iscurrently completing a Doctor of Philosophy on the Maori Political Economy at TeWhare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. He has worked for and held a number ofmanagement positions within the New Zealand public service including theDepartment of Labour, New Zealand Employment Service and The Ministry of MaoriDevelopment. Miki also held <strong>te</strong>aching positions and senior management positionswithin the New Zealand <strong>te</strong>rtiary sector including The University of Auckland, LincolnUniversity, Christchurch Poly<strong>te</strong>chnic Institu<strong>te</strong> of Technology and Waiariki Institu<strong>te</strong> ofTechnology. He has published and presen<strong>te</strong>d at a number of conferences bothnationally and in<strong>te</strong>rnationally relating to indigenous development and wellbeing. Miki isactively involved in working with a range of Iwi/Māori organisations particularly as itrela<strong>te</strong>s to education, management and tribal capacity building.10
