Leonie SimpsonLeonie Simpson (Ngāti Awa, Te Whānau ā Apanui, Taranaki) is the Manager Strategy,Research and Policy at Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa. Leonie is responsible for developingRūnanga policy and strategy to give effect to Ko Ngāti Awa te Toki – Iwi Vision to 2050and Te Ara Poutama o Ngāti Awa. Leonie also provides advice and support to theBoard and CEO. Research activities on matters pertinent to Iwi development are alsoa key focus of Leonie‟s work. Leonie studied at The University of Auckland andgraduated in 2000 with a BA/LLB.
